Century 21 Supports Easter Seals Walk With Me

July 14th, 2014

Earlier this summer, Jordan and Collin Bray of Century 21 Cityside participated in the Easter Seals Walk With Me event to raise awareness and support for families living with disabilities.  Every year, more than 1 million children enter school systems with undiagnosed learning disabilities, putting them behind the other children right from the beginning.  “Easter Seals offers parents free access to an online screening tool to help parents monitor their child’s developmental milestones.”

Century 21 is proud to be recognized as a national founding sponsor for the Easter Seals.  Since 1979, Century 21 has raised over $108 million for Easter Seals to benefit thousands of children living with disabilities.  President and CEO of Century 21 Rick Davidson says, “For 35 years, Easter Seals and the Century 21 System have enjoyed a like-minded partnership. Century 21 Brokers and Agents are supporting families and communities where they live by helping to fulfill their dreams of home ownership; it comes from the heart. In those same communities, Easter Seals’ has been helping families and individuals lead fulfilling lives; it too comes from the heart. There is no greater reward than that which comes from helping others.”

Century 21 Cityside’s fundraising goal for the year is $5,000, of which we have raised $1,485.  With this $5,000 donated to Easter Seals, a young child with disabilities will receive one year of early intervention services in order to help the child become school ready.  This donation money also provides a summer stipend for a college student with disabilities in order for the student to participate in the Easter Seals’ summer internship program.
